How long should my cordless phone battery last?

This is a tough question. This really depends on your pattern of usage. Although the HHR-P104 battery is rechargeable, because a chemical reacion occurs every time the battery is charged a small portion of the NimH chemistry is used every time the battery is cycled. Many companies overstate the amount of times that this can happen before the battery is fully expended. As an average the battery can be charged around 500 times before it is fully used up. We reccomend that you do not replace your handset on the charger/base unit every time you make a call. The problem with this pattern of usage is that every time you drain the battery even by a small amount. When you recharge battery the amount of chemistry you use is the same as if the battery has been fully drained. As an example if you made a 10 min call once a day and then replaced the handset back on the charger after use the battery would be fully expended in approx 500 days. This would give you 1 year and 135 days of use. You could double the life of the battery by only replacing the handset on the charger after every second use. Their is a limitation to this and eventually over a period of time the active chemistry in the battery does fade regardless of its use. We do offer a 1 year warranty on our HHR-P104 battery so if it stops performing before the year runs out just send them back to us using our efficient RMA system and we will send you brand new ones free of charge.

Why can I buy this battery Cheaper in the USA? 

Many of our customers ask us this question.  Let us try to explain. There are are a lot of reasons for this and we would never run any of our competitors down its just that you have to compare apples to apples as they say.

Many US companies offer free shipping to Canada for this battery.

Due to the restrictions placed on us by Canadapost we are not allowed to send batteries by regular first class mail in Canada. The USPS does not restrict US companies from doing this. The problem with this kind of shipping is that although it is extremely cheap it is not tracked so you never know when or where your shipment is in the postal system. Should the shipment get lost there is no recourse and it may take weeks for the US company to send a replacement shipment. All of our shipment s are fully tracked and fully insured should the shipment be lost a speedy replacement would be sent. (Subject to Canadapost's investigation into the loss). We are also bound by our Credit Card processors to ship your item with proof of delivery to protect you as a consumer.

Do you really know what you are buying? Make sure that the capacity of the battery is clearly stated. Many suppliers do not state the capacity of their battery. Is there a 1 Year warranty? The initial purchase may seem cheaper at the time but what if you have to return the battery?
